under the black flag
fly the black flag at half mast
make full the sails and let's leave behind the past
place my heart upon the bulkhead
let it lead the way and dye our course blood red
a pirate ship is tossed about in this sea of sorrow
a black sun rises in the east: there'll be rain upon the morrow
in the midst of an ocean, i'll drown my troubles in a bottle
the captain's wheel will freewheel as we sail along full-throttle
this tail wind will carry us on our voyage to nowhere
from the islands of hawaii to i don't even fucking care
we'll make our way through the waters, pillaging as we go
we'll storm the ports of lovers lost and burn the town of hope
a siren's song will issue forth from the blackness in our souls
we'll toast to death and hold our breath as the black sea rolls
as we reach the point of our journey's end
a mutiny will leave me by my lonesome once again
eventually we will find our appointed desert isle
and soon i'll be nothing but some crossbones and a smile
